About Lois Bender

Lois Bender’s Fine Art Collections combine her background in art direction and graphic design with her creative expression using various mediums: drawing, watercolor, photography, and printmaking creating fresh syntheses of imagery as seen in Collage/Photo/Brush. Her “Sketch” to final “Panorama” process is inspired by the dynamics of dramatic scale snd contrasting elements like gesture and texture.

Lois grew up in Woodmere, NY and knew she would be an artist when painting flowers at 5 years old! A graduate of Hunter College (BA) and Boston Univ. (MFA). She teaches art and watercolor in the Hamptons, NY at many venues including Wolffer Estate Vineyards, Sag Harbor Florist, Gurney’s Inn, LongHouse Reserve. She is also an Adjunct Art Professor at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey.
